Each week 3 totally new, never before seen inventions are demonstrated, examined, prodded, pushed, pulled and occasionally dropped by host James O’Loghlin. Their inventors are then subjected to a barrage of questions by the 3 member judging panel. At the end of the show the judges choose a winner, who may advance to the show’s grand final at the end of the year. Whilst analysis of inventions is rigorous, the amazing and inspiring work of inventors is always recognised. The show celebrates the inventiveness and resourcefulness of the human mind, and the determination and hard work of those who dream big dreams, and then slave away to make them real.

Thrown into the mix are entertaining, informative and even funny segments on the history of inventing, inventions of the future, and about some of the extraordinary inventors who have helped shape our world.

If you are interested in the world, curious about the future, and own a television, it’s the show for you. More about the show»

Pay It Forward is a 2000 American dramatic film based on the novel of the same name by Catherine Ryan Hyde. A 12-year-old schoolboy in Las Vegas, Nevada named Trevor McKinney (Haley Joel Osment) is given a class project to complete by his social studies teacher Eugene Simonet (Kevin Spacey), a man with terrible burn scars on his face and neck. His task is to come up with a plan that will change the world through direct action.

On his way home from school later that day, Trevor notices a homeless man, Jerry (James Caviezel) and decides to make a difference in Jerry’s life. Trevor then comes up with the plan to “pay it forward” by doing a good deed for three people who must in turn each do good deeds for three other people, creating a charitable pyramid scheme. Trevor’s plan is to help Jerry by feeding and housing him so he can “get on his feet.”

Brad Cohen is a motivational speaker and an award-winning teacher and author who has severe Tourette syndrome (TS). Cohen described his experiences growing up with the condition in his book, Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had, co-authored with Lisa Wysocky. The book has been made into a Hallmark Hall of Fame TV movie titled Front of the Class.

During his childhood, Cohen was accused of being a troublemaker in school and was punished by his teachers for the tics and noises caused by TS. He decided to “become the teacher that he never had”. After he graduated and received his teaching certificate, 24 elementary schools rejected him before he was hired at Mountain View Elementary School in Cobb County, Georgia. As a new teacher, he was named Georgia’s First Class Teacher of the Year.
