Commercial coolers and walk-in freezers could become pop relics, like bottled Coca Cola machines, thanks to NanoPore Inc.

The Albuquerque company, which sells thermal insulation and cooling devices based on breakthrough nanotechnology, has launched a new firm to develop and market instant beverage chillers. The machines, which are about twice the size of a large microwave, allow consumers to cool a warm can of soda or another drink in just seconds.

NanoPore’s new company, NanoBev, is now testing the prototype for PepsiCo and other clients. Once the NanoBev machines are ready for market, they could conceivably replace commercial coolers and freezers, said NanoPore President Doug Smith.  Read more ……
